The Association for Quality in Audio Visual

Fifteen years ago today, the Association for Quality in Audio Visual Technology was chartered. The date was quite intentionally chosen, May the Fourth.
Part nerd homage, yes, but the parallel to the “cause” is no accident. Our intrepid hero’s battling future evils: The Resistance.
Just as AQAV is the resistance, battling defects.
We carry NTI and Fluke instruments rather than light sabers, but the force of quality is strong; in both the Old and the Younglings.
Anything worthwhile and impactful creates reactions, and we hear them all: “it takes too long”, “it changed my life!”, what even is it??” ... We get passionate feedback from End Users and Integrators, and occasionally, people just get mad about it; we are not even sure why. 🤷🏻♂️
There is also some misinformation and incorrect assumptions, but by far the most common are avid supporters and volunteers.
It’s attributed to P.T. Barnum that “any press is good press”, and we believe that if folks are talking, we are pleased to be in the discussion.
AQAV is volunteer-run, with only one employee. I would be remiss if I didn’t deeply thank everyone who has volunteered over the past 15 years, and those who continue to do so.
If you’d like to learn more, we are always happy to discuss our mission: “Saving the AV Industry, one system at a time.”
May the 4th be with you in your quest for defect-free outcomes. Join the resistance today!
